“Code sequence” sets the rotation direction of the encoder shaft and
consequently defines whether the position value output by the encoder
increases when the encoder shaft rotates clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise
(CCW). CW and CCW rotations are viewed from shaft.
•
“Scaling function”: if disabled the device uses its own physical resolution (see
objects 6501h and 6502h); if enabled it uses the resolution set in objects
6001h and 6002h with the following relation:
6001-00 Counts per revolution

This object sets the number of distinguishable steps per revolution.
Enabled if bit 2 of object 6000h = ”1”.
To avoid counting errors, check that is an integer value.
Allowed values are equal to or lower than “Hardware counts per revolution”
(see encoder label).
6002-00 Total resolution [Unsigned32, rw]
This object sets the number of distinguishable steps over the total measuring
range.
Enabled if bit 2 of object 6000h = ”1”.
Allowed values are equal to or lower than “Total hardware resolution” (see
encoder label).
