CAUTION:
When laser products (such as CD-ROMs, DVD drives, fiber optic devices, or transmitters) are
installed, note the following:

Do not remove the covers. Removing the covers of the laser product could result in exposure to
hazardous laser radiation. There are no serviceable parts inside the device.
v
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein
might result in hazardous radiation exposure.
DANGER
Some laser products contain an embedded Class 3A or Class 3B laser diode. Note the following.
Laser radiation when open. Do not stare into the beam, do not view directly with optical
instruments, and avoid direct exposure to the beam.

7. Slide the drive into the DVD drive bay until the drive clicks into place.

Go to “Completing the installation.”
Completing the installation
To complete the installation, do the following:
1. If the DIMM air baffle is not in place, reinstall it now (see “Removing and installing the DIMM air
baffle” on page 31).
2. Reinstall the cover if it was removed (see “Removing and installing the cover” on page 29).
3. Reinstall the server in the rack cabinet (see the Rack Installation Instructions that comes with the server
for instructions).
4. Reconnect all cables and power cords (see “Connecting the cables” on page 48.
5. Update the server configuration (see “Updating the server configuration” on page 49).
6.
Slide the server back into the rack, if necessary.
7. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
