8. Operation

8.11.2 Monitoring Controls (on the Surface)

MON CR & MON HP

For MON CR and MON HP, the monitor sources are identical, and can be selected independently. The current
selections are shown in green (MON CR) and white (MON HP).

Seven monitor sources can be selected directly from the surface:

PGM 1

to

PGM 4

,

AUX 1

,

SOFT 1

or

SOFT

2

. The two SOFT key sources are freely assignable via the local matrix. To access the assignment page, press

and hold any SOFT key. Additional monitor sources are then available via the "Monitor Extension"

on

DisplayDock. To access these, press the

MORE...

key.

In each case, turn the rotary control to adjust the monitor volume.

For the MON CR output, the

MUTE

and

DIM

keys allow you to quickly mute or dim the volume of the

loudspeakers. Use a short press to toggle the function, or a long press for momentary operation. The MUTE key
will also light if the control room output is automatically muted (due to an active

status). The amount of

dim applied is always 20dB.

The MON CR stereo PPM on

follows the control room monitor source selector. The meter

shows the level

before

the Volume, Mute and Dim.
