Fader Strip Control
The console mixes its active sources (mono or stereo) to four stereo main buses:
PGM 1
to
4
, and two stereo
aux buses:
AUX 1
and
2
. The active sources are the ones assigned to the fader strips and each strip supports
two layers. Thus, the maximum number of mix inputs is equivalent to the console frame size x 2.
Each fader strip provides the following controls:
1
Input Gain, Pan & Stream Selection
Tap down on the rotary control to step through the available parameters,
and then turn to adjust the current value - the parameter name and value
appear briefly in the electronic display.
The available parameters vary depending on the type of source. For
more details, see
..
2
Source-Specific Functions (e.g. CONF, TB, etc.)
The four soft keys are labeled by the electronic display, and vary
depending on the type of source. The default functions are described
.
In fader strip assign and bus assign modes, the rotary control (1)
and soft keys (2) provide alternative functions.
3
ACCESS Keys x 2
Use the
ACCESS
keys to switch the fader strip between its two layers,
select a source (for parameter control) or activate strip assign mode.
The operation is as follows.
Press an unlit (or half lit)
ACCESS
key to switch the fader strip to its
alternate layer - the controls update and the
ACCESS
key lights in full
(green). If no source is assigned to the alternate layer, then you will
switch to a blank (unused) fader strip. If an
ACCESS
key is half lit, then
a source is assigned to the alternate layer but is currently hidden. The
layers can be reset globally from the
.
Press a fully lit
ACCESS
key once to select a source - the key turns
white. On DisplayDock, the "Source Parameters" page shows the source
label and all of its parameters. On the surface, the upper controls on the
Central Module update. You can now use either the on-screen buttons or
control surface to make adjustments. Deselect the
ACCESS
key to
return the console to its normal mode of operation (
ACCESS
keys fully lit
green).
Double-press a fully lit
ACCESS
key to activate strip assign - the key
turns yellow. On DisplayDock, the "Source Assignment" buttons appear
in place of the DOCK - touch a source button to make a new assignment. Alternatively, turn the rotary control (1)
to scroll through the available sources - the options appear in the electronic display (2). Press the
TAKE
key to
confirm your selection. The new source label appears in the Label display (6). Once you have assigned a
source, the strip assign mode cancels and the console returns to its normal mode of operation (
ACCESS
keys
fully lit green).
4
Fader
Use the fader to adjust the source's mix level to the summing bus outputs. The level can be adjusted from - to
+9dB. Note that
PGM
buses are always fed post-fader, while
AUX
buses can be switched between pre- and
post-fader.
