Operation
Interchangeable ball-ends - 5860-Fig.34
Class 1 and 2 interchangeable ball-ends (A), mounted at
the ends of the lower links of the three-point linkjage,
are available to make it easier to couple certain types of
implement to the three-point linkage itself. The internal
diameter of the Class 1 ball-ends is 22.4 mm, while that
of the Class 2 ball-ends is 29 mm.
To replace, remove the safety pin (B) and turn the ball-
end, aligning the shaped part with the race at the end
of the rod.
Mount the new ball-end and lock it in place with the
safety pin (B). Make sure that the ball-end is free to turn
in its housing.
Quick-hitch couplings - 7860 and 8860 (optional)
Fig.35
Open the latch (D) of the quick-hitch couplings (C).
Reverse the tractor and couple the crossbar of the
implement. Release the latches that will be automati-
cally coupled to the ball-ends of the bar. Now adjust the
length of the top link and couple it.
LH vertical lift rod (Fig.36-37)
The fork (3) of the lh vertical lift rod can be regulated in
two ways by turning the plug through 90°. This gives
two adjustments, one with a fixed pin (E) and the other
with a mobile pin sliding through groove (F). The mobile
pin is adjusted when very wide implements are used
(cultivators, spaders, harrows, etc.) when a certain
freedom of sideways movement is required.
The vertical lift rod can also be adjusted in length by
unscrewing or tightening the lower fork. Remove the
safety pin and take out the fixing plug to release the
lower fork.
RH adjustable lift rod (Fig. 33)
The adjustable rh lift rod (5) can be regulated in length
by means of the handle (4). This adjustment is of great
use since it allows the implement to be levelled
according to the job in hand.
Turn the lever clockwise to shorten the rh vertical lift
rod.
Turn the lever anticlockwise to lengthen the rh vertical
lift rod.
