3.4  Power Wiring 
and Setup

This section describes how to connect the Model 648 to the line power. Please follow 
these instructions carefully to ensure proper operation of the instrument and the 
safety of operators.

The Model 648 must be permanently wired to the facilities main wiring by a qualified 
electrician adhering to all local codes and standards. 

Do not attempt to connect the power mains using a detachable cord. The power wiring 
must be permanently wired to the facilities main wiring by a qualified electrician. Failure 
to comply could result in injury or death to personnel.
