Options and Supplies

To install the network card you will need to do the following:

• Remove the video controller board from the back of the printer.

• Install the network card on the video controller board.

• Replace the video controller board.

• Configure the printer’s network Setup.

MPORTANT

:

To avoid electric shock ensure your hands are dry before touching the 

printer’s power plug.

Kit contents

• Token Ring network card

Caution notes

• Do not drop or bend the network card.

• Do not touch the connector of the network card.

• Protect the network card from static electricity by keeping it its anti-static 

package until you are ready to install it.

• Avoid exposing the network card to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or 

humidity

To install a network card you will need to remove the printer’s video controller 
board, install the network card, then replace the controller board in the printer. 
For instructions, see “Removing and replacing the video controller board” on 
page 8-1.
