Connecting the Printer to a Network

Cable connects directly to the AUI connector on the printer.

• Twisted pair (Category 5 unshielded twisted pair cable or 100BaseTX)

Uses 8-pin RJ-45 connector that plugs into the RJ-45 socket on the printer.

With the printer turned off, connect the MAU transceiver to the AUI connector on 
the back of the printer. Secure the connection using the slide latch on the AUI 
connector.

2.

Connect the thinnet cable to the BNC connector on the transceiver.

3.

Turn on the printer and then the computer.
