Installing a hard disk drive

DRIVE

:

1.

Unpack the new hard disk drive. With the rounded side down, place the drive on a 
flat surface or on the palm of your hand.

Do not touch the drive with magnetic objects or place objects sensitive to magnets 
near the drive.

2.

Place the video controller board on a stable surface. 

3.

Orient the hard disk drive on the video controller board so the hard disk 
connector (1) faces the connector on the video controller board (2).

4.

Slide the hard disk in as shown by the arrow, and attach it firmly to the connector.

OTE

:

Do not connect the leftmost four pins of the hard disk connector (3).

5.

Make sure that the four holes in the hard disk are aligned with the corresponding 
holes in the video controller board. 

6.

Put each of the four washers on each of the four screws.

OTE

:

You must insert each of the screws into a washer before you use the screws 

to attach the hard disk to the video controller board.
