Installing the Adobe PostScript printer driver
Printer drivers provide your applications with information about your Ci1000,
such as the fonts and paper sizes available. Printer description files give you access
to all printing features of the printer driver and applications.When you use the
Adobe PS Printer installer, the printer description file is installed automatically.

:
1. Insert the User Software CD in the CD ROM drive and open the Adobe PS folder.
2. Double-click the Installer icon.
3. Click Install in the dialog box that appears.
The Adobe PostScript Printer Driver and the PPD that corresponds to your
printer are installed.
4. Click OK in the dialog box informing you that installation is complete. Restart
your computer.

:
For best results any job sent to the Ci1000 should be sent using the Adobe
driver and the Ci1000 PPD. Provide the installer to all users who send jobs.
Setting up the Ci1000 in the Chooser
After you install the printer driver and printer description file, you need to set up
the Ci1000 in the Chooser. This section describes how to set up the Ci1000 with
the Adobe PostScript printer driver.

1. In the Chooser, ensure AppleTalk is enabled.

If necessary you may need to add the AppleTalk zone in which your printer
