4.2.2 The Binding Process for Twine Wrapping

The KR 130 and KR 160 round balers can be simultaneously equipped with a net wrapping
mechanism as well as the twine wrapping mechanism. Note that only one wrapping mechanism
is started at any one time. For this reason only the synthetic cord or the steel cord may be
attached to the actuating lever.

For twine wrapping in standard models there is
mechanical actuation for the starter via a synthetic cord
(2). The starter is initiated via the actuating lever (1).
Hold the the actuating cord under tension until the twine
is taken by the bale in the bale chamber.

The cutter blade in the net wrapping mechanism must
be raised and locked in order to be able to work with
twine binding in round balers which are additionally
equipped with a net wrapping mechanism. To do this,
move the lever (1) on the right hand side of the machine
in direction of the arrow. Rotate the stop (3) behind the
actuating wheel (2) forwards (see the direction of the
arrow).
