12.2.1

General Description‘

The electronic comfort controls essentially consist of
two units, the control and indicator box, and the control
and function elements on the round baler itself. The bale
density is displayed for the driver over the course of the
baling cycle on the control and indicator box. At the
same time the sequence of functions in the binding or
wrapping process for a pre-selected final bale firmness is
automised by the control and indicator box. Besides the
distributor box (1) attached on the right hand side of the
machine, there are also two distance sensors on the
front left and right sides of the machine for the volume
gauge in the bale chamber, sensors on the twine and
wrapping mechanisms as well as hydraulic components
for the start process.

12.2.2

Preparing for Use

•

When mounting units on the tractor or round baler, switch off the engine and remove the
ignition key. When mounting the control and indicator box, make sure that the connection
cable is not under tension and does not come into contact with the tractor wheels when
driving round corners. Take care not to cause any short circuits!

•

The comfort controls work on the machine side to actuate the binding or wrapping
mechanisms with a hydro-reservoir. This hydro-reservoir is supplied with pressure when
the tail gate is opened. Work on the hydro-reservoir and its input and output lines may only
be carried out by trained specialists.

Attach the control and indicator box to the tractor using a
magnet. Connect to power supply (12 Volt). To to this,
connect the 3-pole plug supplied directly to the tractor
battery using the cable supplied. Observe the correct
polarity.
Switch on the unit with the central switch. The display
field is activated with the ON/OFF switch (1). A brief self
test follows:

1. The indicator lamps on the foil keyboard light up

briefly.

2. The buzzer gives a short test signal.
3. The following appears on the display:
