When the start process is triggered, the lever (1) is
pulled into position (2). The spring bar moves to position
(4), a few centimeters above the thread (7). At the same
time the brake on the roll of net is freed (on the right
under the twine supply container), so that the net can be
drawn in more easily at the start of the wrapping
process. The actuating wheel (5) is moved in the
direction of the arrow by the lever (1) and pressed
against the friction wheel (3). The wrapping mechanism
is thereby put into operation, the net is laid on the crop
and drawn into the bale chamber. As soon as the start
process is completed the actuating wheel returns to its
initial position. The brake on the roll of net works again.
The spring bar moves downwards and is laid on the
thread (7).
The actuating wheel (2) can be moved easily after
completion of the start process. The friction wheel (1)
continues to rotate. The spring bar is lying on the thread
(4) and is pushed outwards by the rotation of the friction
wheel. It falls into position (5) from the end of the thread
(see direction of the arrow). The cutter blade is thereby
triggered. It falls down and splits the net.
The cutter blade (3) is only accessible and visible from
below. It is screwed on to the wrapping mechanism (2)
under the aluminium roller (1) with the blade mount using
hexagonal socket screws.
