STOP ENGINE BEFORE CARRYING OUT MAINTENANCE

Stop the machine on firm, level ground.
q
Select a place where there is no hazard of falling rocks or
landslides, or of flooding if the land is low.
q
Lower the work equipment completely to the ground and
stop the engine.
q
After stopping the engine, turn the starting switch to the ON
position, operate work equipment control lever (1) fully in
the RAISE and LOWER directions 2 or 3 times to release
the remaining pressure in the hydraulic circuit, then set
work equipment lock lever (2) to LOCK position (L).
After releasing the remaining pressure in the hydraulic cir-
cuit, turn the starting switch to the OFF position.

Set steering lock lever (3) to LOCK position (L).
