HANDLE QUICK COUPLER

WARNING
Handling the quick coupler involves a risk. Handling it without caution may cause serious personal in-
jury or death. Observe the following caution strictly.
1.
Use only the quick coupler which conforms to the European Norm EN474. The operator must be able to
check that the lock of the attachment or the bucket is completely locked by seeing it from the operator's
seat.
2.
Use only the quick coupler which is with the pilot operated check valve in the rocking cylinder. This is to
eliminate the risk of the bucket or attachment which may move if the oil pressure is lost. Consult the manu-
facturer of the quick coupler if there is anything unclear.
3.
Read thoroughly the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the quick coupler, and follow the recommenda-
tions. Consult your Komatsu distributor if there is anything unclear in installation or operation.
4.
The quick coupler pressure can be limited by the pressure adjustment valve (2) according to the recom-
mendations from the manufacturer. Check that the valve is configured correctly according to the specifica-
tion of the quick coupler.
5.
Be sure that the quick coupler has been installed by a qualified technician. Consult your Komatsu distributor
if there is anything unclear.
