18 Scrambler

The following figures show the Scrambler board (Transcrypt SC20-460).

Adjust the Audio level of the Scrambler board by referring to the Installation Manual of the Scrambler board.

You must change C1 and R1 ~ R5 (mounted on the back of the board) before adjusting the Audio level.
(Refer to the SC20-460 Installation Manual.)

For RX

For TX

Change C1 to 1000 pF

Change R2 to 15 k

Change R1 to 39 k

Change R3 to 330 k

Ω

You can change the Scrambler configuration using the TRANSCRYPT software and TR30-3060/3061. The

parameters change when adjusting TX, RX and De-Emphasis.

Miscellaneous Parameter #1 @ Bit Number 4 (TX De-Emphasis)

Set to default “0”.

Miscellaneous Parameter #1 @ Bit Number 3 (RX De-Emphasis)

Set to “1”.
