6.3 Decode
Function
6.3.1 ID Code
The transceiver can make an individual call using the
DTMF Decode function.
The ID Code is used to make individual calls.
You can program the Code (3 ~ 10 digits) using
numbers 0 ~ 9.
Note:
You can enter only 4 digits when the DTMF Signalling
is Selective Call.
The transceiver operates as programmed in DTMF
Signalling, Call Alert and Transpond when the ID
Code matches on the Channel where Option
Signalling is DTMF.
Note:
The transceiver unmutes the receiving tone
corresponding to the SP Unmute configuration.
• DTMF
Signalling
Select the operation when the ID Code matches.
• Call
Alert
Select the beep tone when the ID Code matches.
• Transpond
Select the Transpond operation when the ID Code
matches.
6.3.2 DTMF
Signalling
This function allows you to program how the
transceiver operates when the ID Code matches on
the Channel where Option Signalling is DTMF.
Code Squelch
The transceiver transponds and the “CALL” icon
appears when the ID Code matches.
Selective Call
The Status Code appears when receiving an ID +
Intermediate Code.
Example
• ID Code: 1234
• Intermediate Code: #
• Status Code: 5678
Receiving “1234#5678”:
“1234#” is the ID Code + Intermediate Code.
The transceiver transmits the Transpond
signal, the “CALL” icon appears, and the Call
Alert Tone sounds.
The transceiver recognizes “5678” as the
Status code.
Receiving “1234#”
The transceiver transponds, the “CALL” icon
appears, and the Call Alert Tone sounds.
In this case, the transceiver does not receive
the Status Code.
OFF
The transceiver does not operate as programmed
in DTMF Signalling, Call Alert and Transpond
even when the ID Code matches in the Channel
where Option Signalling is DTMF.
Note:
The transceiver unmutes the receiving tone
corresponding to the SP Unmute configuration.
Note:
The Group Call beep tone sounds when the received
ID Code has a Group Code.
6.3.3 Intermediate
Code
This function allows you to distinguish the ID Code
and Status Code when using Selective Call. You can
program the code using 0 ~ 9, A ~ D, “*”, and “#”.
Example
• Intermediate code: #
• ID code: 1234
When the transceiver receives “1234#56”, it
recognizes “56” as the Status Code.
Note:
You can use this function when the DTMF Signalling is
“Selective Call”.
