12 Self Programming Mode
12.1 Outline of Function
The Self Programming Mode allows the programming
of transceiver functions without the use of a computer
and FPU.
12.2 Function
Description
Press the [MON] key while turning the transceiver ON
to enter the Self Programming Mode.
There are two modes in Self Programming Mode:
Channel Set Mode and ID Set Mode.
To avoid inadvertently changing the transceiver’s
programming, the self programming mode should be
disabled in the FPU.
12.2.1 Channel Set Mode
Press the [MON] key while “SELF” appears on the
display to enter the Channel Set Mode.
You can program each channel using this transceiver
function.
The Group-Channel to be programmed appears
(Group1-Channel1 in this example).
Press the [CH UP] and [CH DOWN] keys to change
the Channel number.
Press the [
] key to change the position of the dot
from the Channel to the Group.
Press the [CH DOWN] key to change the Group
number.
Press the [SCN] key after selecting the Group and
Channel.
Following are the operations for configuring the
Channel:
• Press the [
] key to select the item.
• Press the [
|
] key to store the change. You can
move to other items after the change is stored.
• Press the [MON] key to program the
Group/Channel.
• The function of the [
|
] key varies, corresponding
to the item.
• Press the [CH UP] and [CH DOWN] keys to select
the item.
12.2.1.1 RX
Frequency
This item allows you to program the receive
frequency.
The current frequency appears after the “R.”.
Press the [
|
] key to change the frequency step.
Press and hold the [
|
] key for more than 1 second
on a programmed Channel to delete the Channel.
Press and hold the [
|
] key for more than 1 second
on a Channel that is not programmed, to display the
default frequency.
12.2.1.2 QT/DQT
Decode
This function allows you to program the QT/DQT
Decode.
The following display appears when the QT/DQT
Decode is not programmed.
Press the [
|
] key to program the QT frequency or
DQT code.
