operationRegister
The status of the operation status measuring summary register; a zero (0) indicates
no bits set (also send 0 to clear all bits); other values indicate various bit settings
Details
These attributes are used to read or write to the operation status measuring summary registers.
Reading a status register returns a value. The binary equivalent of the returned value indicates which
register bits are set. The least significant bit of the binary number is bit B0, and the most significant bit
is bit B15.
For information about .condition, .enable, .event, .ntr, and .ptr registers, refer to
Enable and transition registers
(on page E-19). The individual bits of this
register are defined in the following table.
Bit
Value
Description
B0
Not used
Not applicable.
B1
status.operation.measuring.SMUA
Bit will be set when SMU A is taking an
overlapped measurement, but it will not be set
when taking a normal synchronous measurement.
Bit B1 decimal value: 2
Binary value: 0000 0010
B2
status.operation.measuring.SMUB
This bit is only available on Models
2602B/2604B/2612B/2614B/2634B/2636B. Bit will
be set when SMU B is taking an overlapped
measurement, but it will not be set when taking a
normal synchronous measurement.
Bit B2 decimal value: 4
Binary value: 0000 0100
B3-B15
Not used
Not applicable.
As an example, to set bit B1 of the operation status measuring summary enable register, set
status.operation.measuring.enable
=
status.operation.measuring.SMUA
.
In addition to the above constants,
operationRegister
can be set to the numeric equivalent of the
bit to set. To set more than one bit of the register, set
operationRegister
to the sum of their
decimal weights. For example, to set bits B1 and B2, set
operationRegister
to 6 (which is the
sum of 2 + 4).
Example
status.operation.measuring.enable =
status.operation.measuring.SMUA
Uses a constant to set the SMUA bit
of the operation status measuring
summary enable register.
