Replacing the Main PCB
To remove the PCB
Disconnect 12 way connector from the Power PCB on the rear part of the unit
Disconnect 4 mm tube from the umbilical to the air filter
Disconnect 2 off 12 way connectors on the main board
Disconnect 2 way connector to handset cradle microswitch
Remove 4 x M3 x 16 screws and associated red spacers from the main PCB
Carefully lift the blue part of the printer ribbon cable connector by about
1.5 mm. This will allow the printer ribbon cable to pull easily out of the
connector.
If unit is using 2414-P-5018 PCB pre issue E then there will not be EP39-
55305 (Pulsair Button Adaptor) installed between the PCB and Front unit.
EP39-55305 will need to be ordered to accompany 2414-P-5018 if replacing
the PCB.
Disconnect 2 off 2 way connectors on the underside of the PCB
To replace the PCB
Offer PCB to the main unit and fit 2 off 2 way connectors. LED 09 is the
printer LED and LED 10 is the on/off button LED
Push EP39-55305 (Pulsair Button Adaptor) into back of on/off switch prior to
pushing the PCB into position
Make sure the blue locking section of the printer ribbon cable connector is
lifted and offer the PCB into place ensuring that the printer ribbon cable slots
into the connector on the PCB. Do not push the blue section home yet.
Fit 4 off M3 x 16 Pozi screws with their red spacers – bottom 2 first – and do
not over tighten.
Check that the printer ribbon cable is fully home then push home the blue
locking section.
Reconnect 2 off 12 way connectors from the umbilical and rear part of the unit
correctly noting the names on the PCB
Refit 2 way connector from the handset cradle to the PCB
Reconnect the 4 mm tube and 12 way connector to the rear part of the unit.
