PRINT:
this button has two functions:
1. Pressing it once forces the unit to automatically print,
providing a valid reading is available to print, else ‘0’ is
displayed. In this printing mode the printer does not have
to be switched on through the scroll menu system.
2. Scrolling menu: Pressing this button for 3 seconds allows
the user to enter into a menu system. Through this menu
system, and pressing the OD/OS button, the following
operation modes could be toggled.
a. PRNT: Switches the Printer ON/OFF. When the
Printer is on through this menu system, the green
LED on top of the printer paper feed comes ON.
This allows the unit to print when the hand unit is
replaced into its cradle provided a valid reading is
stored in the unit’s memory. i.e. Prior to pressing
Demo button after a valid reading. As explained
above, the printer does not have to be switched on
in this way to be able to print a valid reading by
pressing the PRINT button, Pressing the print
button will print a valid reading regardless of this
setting.

calibration)
b. BUZZ: Switched the Buzzer to ON/OFF

calibration)

c. MODE : Switches the unit between AUTO and
CLINICAL modes of Operation.
i. AUTO (Default setting – this is set during
calibration)
ii. CLIN
d. IOP: Selects the display format to 0 or 1 decimal
places.
i. XX (Default setting – this is set during
calibration)
ii. XX.X
e. SELF TEST – Pressing the demo (D) button while
this option flashes on the display triggers the
instrument to carry out self test after a series of
puffs, it prints the status of LED, Reservoir
Pressure, Pressure variation in percentage for soft
and hard puffs plus date of last calibration is printed
regardless of the printer being set to ON or OFF.
