Replacing the Pump Assembly
Please refer to the troubleshooting section before changing the pump
assembly.
To Remove the Pump Assembly
Open the main unit (see
Disconnect the 12 way connector on the Power PCB to allow the 2 parts to
separate.
Disconnect 2 off 2 way connectors to the Pump and Valve coil from the Power
PCB
Disconnect the 4 mm tube to the umbilical from the air filter assembly
Disconnect the 4 mm air tube from the pressure relief valve on top of the
pump housing by pushing the ring on the connector against the connector and
gently pulling the tube out.
Disconnect the 6 mm air tube form the pressure relief valve as described
above.
Unscrew the cable clamp on top of the pump housing to allow the 6 mm air
tube to move down through it.
Remove 4 off M3 x 16 Pozi screws holding the pump housing to the base unit
Lift the pump housing off of the pump by easing the 6 mm tube through the
cable clamp.
It should now be possible to unstick 2 layers of sound insulation under the
pump from the base unit.
Remove the pump assembly.
To Replace the Pump Assembly
Carefully remove the protective sheet from the sound insulation.
Carefully place the Pump Assembly onto the base unit so that the silencer is
to the left of the pump motor and the slots in the sound insulation are in line
with the threaded inserts in the base unit.
Remove the cable clamp on top of the pump housing.
