(8) Set the "outrigger status" and "boom operation status" you are planning to use correctly. Insert the outrigger
stopper pins to confirm each outrigger extension width when you use the outriggers and check that the ACS
display matches the actual outrigger status.
Incorrect setting of the outrigger status on the working status setting screen risks crane damage
or tipping over. Insert the outrigger stopper pins to confirm each outrigger extension width and

Set the "boom operation status" you are planning to use on the ACS working status setting screen
correctly. Incorrect setting can result in an exaggerated lifting capacity setting which risks crane
damage or tipover.

(9) Perform the ACS preoperational checks before you start work. The ACS preoperational checks can be performed
only when all outriggers are extended fully. If you will not be able to fully extend all outriggers in the actual work
site, move the crane to a more spacious area first, extend the outriggers fully and perform the ACS preoperational
checks.

Before you start work, check that the key of the ACS emergency switch has been extracted. Also check that the
overhoisting emergency switch is in the "working position"
(OFF).
(11) The ACS emergency switch operates only after an ACS automatic stop function works.
If the ACS emergency switch is switched in the safe state, the crane is stopped automatically in the dangerous
state. If the switch is turned OFF and then turned ON, the operation to the danger side can be performed slightly. If
the ACS judges that the operation is dangerous and the automatic stop function works again, the operation to the
danger side cannot be performed thereafter even if the ACS emergency switch is operated.
(12) If the ACS announces "Danger maximum lifting capacity" during crane operation and the crane automatic stop
works with the continuous chime alarm, immediately stop operation and take actions such as derricking and
retracting the boom or lowering the lifted load to the ground while watching the safety level bar graph on the
display to return it to the green zone before you continue work.
The lifting capacity varies greatly according to the outrigger extension configuration and the
slewing direction. Therefore when you are going to slew from a zone of larger lifting capacity to
a zone of smaller capacity, work throughout within the lower capacity.

(13) When you use the outrigger control switches, the crane operation status previously set to the ACS will be canceled.
When you change the outrigger status, you must rest the new crane operation status to the ACS. The crane will not
work until the new setting on the ACS is complete.
(14) If any error code No. or error message is displayed during crane operation or preoperational checks, or if the
problem occurs in the communication signal or circuit between the carrier and crane, stop work immediately and
contact your authorised KATO dealer to ask for advice.
