14. Clearance sonar system

14-4 How to use the system

(T218351-074-0E)

The clearance sonar system is activated when the starter switch is turned to the ON position, after which all the LED

indicators will light and the alarm will sound for about two seconds.

The system detects an obstacle and emits an alarm only under the following conditions. Beware that no alarm is emitted
under any other conditions.

If two sensor alarms are activated simultaneously, an alarm is emitted based on the lamp ﬂashing/lighting

mode with the highest alarm level.

14-5 Troubleshooting

If the following symptoms occur, the clearance sonar system may not be functioning properly, due to an obstacle sensor
malfunction or other problem. If so, contact your authorised KATO dealer.

・

The power lamp does not light even when the starter switch is turned to the ON position.

・

The alarm message "Error: Obstacle sensor" is displayed on the cluster meter panel.

・

The obstacle sensor lamp ﬂashes or lights even when there are no obstacles near the machine.

・

An alarm sound is emitted even when there are no obstacles near the machine.

・

Other errors.
