After ensuring that you have carried out the instructions on pages 23 and 24 to the letter it is possible to
switch the machine on for the fi rst time.
• Connect the power cable to the female socket on the rear of the machine, as indicated in Figure 43;
• Connect the compressed air and gas hoses to their respective ports on the rear panel (fi gure 43);
• Make sure that the EMERGENCY STOP PUSH-BUTTON has not been pressed (fi gure 44);
• Turn the red ON/OFF selector switch on the rear panel to ON (fi gure 45);
• Set the ignition key to the UNLOCK position (this will activate the machine hydraulic system);

At this point the START button will appear on the display to the right of the red box, as shown in Figure 46
and the status dot on the menu bar will turn green. If the start button does not appear in the machine status
box then an error status message will appear in the red box.
When the operator presses the START button, the default setting values and the wording
"LASER ACTIVE – CHECK VALUES" will appear on the display.
At this point, the operator can choose whether to select the welding parameters and execute the process
using the foot control, or load the working parameters stored permanently in a memory cell by selecting the
corresponding number using the joystick or the display, as described earlier.
