The touch screen display mounted on the machine may be used to access the various machine functions
and set-up the corresponding parameters depending on the type of welding operation.
The home screen includes the MENU BAR (highlighted in RED in figure 27) , the INFO MENU, identified
by a button bearing the letter "i" (highlighted in GREEN in figure 27), the MEMORY MENU, identified by a
button bearing the letter "N" (highlighted in BLUE in figure 27) and the MOTOR CONTROL MENU button,
identified by an icon representing two interconnected gears (highlighted in ORANGE in figure 27).

The home screen also contains a series of boxes with a light blue background, the orange memory box
and the main box where the machine status, all operations that must be performed and any machine errors
are displayed. Each box displays the assigned parameter, which is indicated in the top left corner, while
the corresponding unit of measurement is displayed in the top right corner. To the right of each box are two
additional buttons: "+" and "-", which may be used to modify the value of the associated parameter.
HOME SCREEN
The following is a description of each box that appears in the HOME screen:
• POWER –
displays the pulse power in kW (kilowatt); this value may be adjusted between 0.1 kW and
15 kW by using the "+" and "-" buttons to the right of the box.
• TIME –
displays the welding pulse duration in ms (milliseconds). This value can be set between 0.1
ms up to a value that depends on the machine Joules and scaled as a frequency.
• SPOT –
indicates the diameter of the focused laser beam spot projected onto the part to be welded in
mm (mm). This value may be set from 0.2 mm to 2 mm.
• FREQ. –
indicates the laser pulse frequency when firing. This frequency can be set from 0.5 Hz
(hertz) to a maximum of 40 Hz. It is also possible to deactivate the continuous firing function by
scrolling to the position preceding the value 0.5 Hz using the "-" key. The frequency value setting
is linked to the power parameter setting (Kw), which means that the value will be regulated
automatically in order to guarantee correct welding.
• GAS –
indicates if the supply of inert gas used to shield the welds is selected, as well as a countdown
of the remaining delivery time since the last laser firing. It is possible to increase or decrease the
delivery time since the last laser firing. If this value is set to 0 it means that the operator has selected
the welding mode without shielding gas.
