Updating the operating system by means of FTP
Using an FTP client an OS file can be transferred to the JC-365MC controller.
Performing the
update
ü
Before the controller is switched on, the mode selector of the controller is in
the
RUN
or
STOP
position.
ü
An OS file for the JC-365MC controller is available.
ü
An FTP connection to the controller is possible.
ü
The login parameters for a user with administrator or system rights are at
hand.
ü
The OS is running.
ü
Make sure the controller remains energized during the operating system up-
date.
1.
Open an FTP connection to the JC-365MC.
2.
Log in with administrator or system rights.
3.
Navigate to the directory
/System/OS
.
4.
Transfer the OS file.
5.
Wait until the update process is completed.
6.
Clear the FTP connection.
7.
Set the mode selector to
STOP
or
RUN
.
8.
To activate the transferred OS, re-boot the controller.
Operating system update from an SD card
An automatic OS update of the controller from an SD card can be carried out us-
ing the AutoCopy function.
