Periodic electrical inspections should be carried out by a person with appropriate
electrical qualifications.
Inspections to be carried out in terms of measurements: measurements of the
effectiveness of electric shock protection, insulation resistance test, measurements
of residual current devices (RCDs).
The measurements are recorded in the measurement protocol. Within the scope of
the annual inspection :

carry out a general visual inspection of the unit, correct the stocking and
measure the ambient parameters around the unit (temperature and
humidity), assess the air movement around the device,

check the adequate circulation of cold air in the device,

check the correct operation of the device: instantaneous temperature
values, defrost effectiveness, status of alarms, even, quiet operation of the
compressor, fan operation, absence of icing, leaks,

check the patency of the condensate drainage channels,

assess the condition of the power cable (plug - in), free access to the
electrical socket,
 carry out an inspection of the electrical cables to ensure that they are
properly laid (no tension, no visible damage to the insulation),

check th e condenser for the presence of dirt – carry out cleaning of the
condenser,
 check the cleanliness of the condensate tray (plug - in) – carry out cleaning
of the tray.
The inspection should be recorded in a protocol and instruct the personnel on the
recommendations for operation.
8. SERVICE
The user is prohibited from carrying out independent modifications/repairs of
the device. Repairs may only be carried out by authorised service technician.
Service work must only be carried out by people who have been trained in the
safe use of hydrocarbon refrigerants.
Service work should only be carried out in a well - ventilated room or outdoors. In
such case, ensure that there are no sources of ignition within 3m of the work area.
Before servicing, use a personal gas detector to ensure that the space in the
device, food chambers and around the refrigeration unit is free of refrigerant.
