Basal Metabolic Rate is the rate at which the body burns calories to maintain normal body
functions while at rest. BMR is the largest factor in determining overall metabolic rate and how
many calories you need to maintain, lose or gain weight.
To lose weight, you should try to eat fewer calories than your basic calories need. In order to lose
weight, calories should not be your only concern. Exercise is vital, too.
3. BODY FAT%:
You body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains. If you are 150 pounds
and 10% fat, it means that your body consists of 15 pounds fat and 135 pounds lean body mass,
such as bone, muscle, organ tissue, blood and everything else.
