SBS Kits for Dual-Indexed Sequencing
HiSeq SBS kits contain a sufficient volume of reagents for performing dual-indexed runs:

One 250-cycle SBS kit provides reagents for up to 275 cycles of sequencing.
u
One 50-cycle kit provides reagents for up to 75 cycles of sequencing.
u
For runs greater than a total of 275 cycles, use multiple 50-cycle kits.
The following table lists the number of cycles performed for dual-indexed runs of various lengths. For dual-
indexed paired-end runs, 7 chemistry-only cycles are calculated in the total number of cycles.

One 50-cycle kit provides sufficient reagents for 58 cycles of sequencing.

For runs greater than a total of 209 cycles, and to maximize reagent use for other read lengths, use
multiple 50-cycle kits.
