Upgrading the system memory
6 Press the memory module into the socket until the
clips on both ends click to hold the module in place.
7 If you disconnected any cables to gain access to the
memory module sockets on the system board,
reconnect the cables.
8 Reinstall the cover and reconnect the cables to the
back of the system unit. Then, reconnect the power
cord to the back of the system unit and plug the other
end of the cord into a properly grounded electrical
outlet.
To remove a DIMM:
To remove a DIMM, press the holding clips on both
sides of the socket outward to release the DIMM.
To verify the system memory:
To view the system memory settings, enter Setup and
select
System Summary from the Setup main menu. See
“Starting the Setup Utility” on page 74 for information
on how to enter Setup.
