WARNING
Make sure the Nameplate is correct if an attachment
has been installed.
If an attachment is installed on the lift truck, make sure
the operating instructions are available and understood
before operating the attachment. For the operation of at-
tachment control levers, see TABLE 2. and FIGURE 6.
STOPPING
Stop the lift truck as gradually as possible. Hard braking
and wheel sliding can cause the load to fall off of the forks
and damage the load or hurt someone.
PARKING
The operator must never leave a lift truck in a condition so
that it can cause damage and injury. When parking the lift
truck, do the following operations:
1. Stop the lift truck and apply the parking brake. Applying
the parking brake puts the transmission in
NEUTRAL
when the lift truck has a MONOTROL
R
pedal.
2. Fully lower the forks or carriage. Tilt mast forward until
the tips of the forks touch the ground.
3. If equipped, move the direction control lever to the
NEUTRAL
position.
4. Turn the key to the
OFF
position to stop the engine.
5. If the lift truck must be left on an incline, put blocks on
the down hill side of the wheels so that the lift truck can
not move.
