REMOVING THE BACKREST

It is imperative that Human Touch
®
products are repaired in a manner that ensures product safety and regulatory compliance and that is fully consistent with the practices used
during the manufacturing process. Therefore, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these repair
instructions. Failure to adhere to these instructions voids the product warranty and releases Human Touch from all liability for injury or product damage resulting from the repair.
SERVICE LEVEL: 3
Tools Required: 5mm Allen wrench, 6 mm Allen wrench, 14mm open wrench, Phillips-head screwdriver, pliers,
small hammer, wire cutter or any instrument suitable for cutting zip ties.
NOTE: SAVE ALL SCREWS FOR USE DURING REASSEMBLY.

1. Power off the chair, then unplug it.
2. Remove all pads from the chair (Fig.1).
See Use & Care manual for more information.
3. Lift the wood seat support to expose the connector junction box (Fig.2).
4. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the two screws from the junction box (Fig.2).
5. Open the junction box, then disconnect the two backrest harness connectors (Fig.3).
6. Using a wire cutter, cut all the zip ties that secure the backrest harness to the chair frame (Fig.4).
