4 Troubleshooting

The Hard Disk Does Not Work

1. Check that the hard disk drive has not been disabled in the Setup program (see “Setting

Other Security Features").

2. Check that the disk power and data cables are correctly connected (see “Installing or

Replacing an IDE Hard Disk Drive in the Rear Shelf”).

3. Check that power management has been correctly configured (see “Using Power

Management”).

4. Check that the IDE Interface has not been disabled in the Setup program.

5. Check that the Translation Method and Data Transfer Method are correctly specified in

theSetup program.
