5. Interfering ions effect of sample

If sample measurement is not successful even after the 
countermeasures of 1 through 3 mentioned above, the 
sample may contain interfering ions.
How to reduce the effect of the interfering ion, contact 
HORIBA sales representative.

When (coexistence limit value) 

×

 (measurement ion 

concentration) is larger than (coexistence ion 
concentration), the effect of the interfering ion becomes 
small.

CAUTION

Harmful chemicals

Some ion electrodes are used with hazardous standard solutions. Handle them 
with care. 
If the internal solution comes in contact with the skin, wash it off immediately. If it 
gets into eyes, flush with plenty of water and then consult a doctor.
