Constant operating temperatures of 45°C or more must be avoided. Batteries should therefore be
neither exposed to direct sunlight nor other sources of heat.
7.2.5. Retention of the fully charged state (trickle charging)
After the fully charged state has been reached (green "100%" LED) in accordance with point
7.2, the
trak | systemizer dynamics
system is automatically converted to a trickle charging
process if charging is not manually interrupted after the charging process has ended. This
trickle charging ensures that the fully charged state is retained by the storage system, even
if it is not used for some time. The trickle charging process is carried out with reduced
voltage, during which each 4-hour charging period is alternated with a 24-hour break period.
The maximum charging current made available by the charger in the trickle charging process is
0.8 A per 100 Ah nominal capacity. It must therefore be ensured in the case of integrated
onboard chargers that all consumers (e.g. lights, etc.) are switched off during the trickle charging
process, as this can otherwise result in the unwanted discharging of the storage system.
7.2.6. Opportunity charging
The
trak | systemizer dynamics
storage system is particularly suited to opportunity
charging. Charging processes that have been started in accordance with 7.2 can be
interrupted at any time by briefly pressing the pause key ( < 1 second) and then ended
within 1 minute by disconnecting the power plug. After as soon as 15 minutes, the
opportunity charging of the partially discharged system causes an increased voltage level in
the battery storage system during the subsequent discharging process, the result of which is
a noticeable increase in output and range.
Please store the power cable and, if necessary, charging cable after every opportunity charging
process in the way described in point 7.2, and, when using the onboard version, seal the charger
housing of
trak | systemizer dynamics
system.
Opportunity charging is only practical if the charge state is lower than 80% nominal capacity, as
the maximum charging current of the main charging phase becomes effective here.
Opportunity charging processes are taken into account in the operational management of
trak |
systemizer dynamics
systems, and if they frequently occur in the fully charged state, can result
in corresponding recharging phases.
7.2.7. Fast charging
To reduce the recharging time of the storage system, the
trak | systemizer dynamics
system can be optionally equipped with a fast charging characteristic function. During fast
charging, currents of up to 40 A per 100 Ah are used in the main charging phase. In theory,
40% of the nominal capacity C
n
can be recharged in 1 hour in this way.
