Contact Inputs Setting
The function of each contact input can be set to:

Activate the voice alarm of specified zones

Activate a normal task

Synchronize the system time

Input the fault status of external devices

Reset the system
If the contact inputs are configured to activate a voice alarm in Linkage , the icon of evacuation or
alert will be displayed in the corresponding rows and the ports cannot be set to other functions.
If a contact input is used to activate a normal task, click the corresponding table and select a normal
task from the drop-down list.
If a contact input is used to synchronize the system time, click the drop-down list and select Setup
Clock , then set the clock. When the contact input is activated, the system clock will be set to the
specified time. This function cannot be used with Time Synchronization at the same time.
If a third-party device is used in the system, such as PSU, the fault status can be supervised via a
contact input by selecting Custom Fault from the drop-down list. Connect the fault output (dry contact)
of the third-party device to the contact input, then connect a 10k
Ω resistor network to the same dry
contact output in parallel. If the device has a fault, a short circuit fault of the contact input will be
detected by the MCU. The fault description displayed in the MCU can be set in the table.
If a contact input is used to reset the system, click the drop-down list and select Reset RK-MCU .
This function can be used to reset a voice alarm. If Manual-Reset or Manual-Duration-Reset mode
is configured, CIE can reset the voice alarm by activating the contact input when the fire alarm is
cleared or reset.
Timing
The timing broadcast function can be set via the configuration software and the MCU can work
automatically according to the timing setting. The timing setting includes Day, Weekly and Special.
The day timing is the foundation setting. Before configuring any timing program, users should create
a day program first. Then use the day program to configure the weekly and special program as
needed.
