(b) Corrective action when the copy destination HDD has an error

If the copy destination HDD has a read or write error, replace the failed HDD. (For
information about how to replace an HDD, see Subsection 5.4.3, “Detaching/attaching
hard disk drive (HDD)”.) After the HDD is replaced, try to rebuild RAID1 again.

(2) When the Equipment started up with incorrect RAID configuration

When you mount an HDD used for another HJ-2030****B (B model) or an HDD
previously used for backup by mistake during HDD replacement and try to start up the OS
without rebuild, the Equipment displays a blue screen and stops there in order to prevent it
starting up. If this happens, the blue screen shows the following.

If you see this screen, remove the HDD mounted by mistake. (For information about how
to remove on HDD, see Subsection 5.4.3, “Detaching/attaching hard disk drive (HDD)”.) In
addition, after removing the HDD, follow Step 2 through 5 described in Subsection 10.5.3,
“Performing periodical HDD replacement”.

10.4.6 Recovering from HDD failure in both sides

After you replace both HDDs, set up the Equipment again, and recover the data from
backup files (See Subsection 8.1, “Backing Up Files”.)
Or, recover the Equipment using a backup HDD. (See Subsection 10.5.2, “Performing
restoration from backup HDD”.)
