(3) Power supply modules quantity and installation positions

The number of power supply modules required for GS4000 switch devices is determined by
whether or not a high port-density PSU-integrated NIF will be installed in the device.

High port-density PSU-integrated NIF are NOT installed in the GS4000

The GS4000 power supply redundancy is of the type “2+2” when high port-density PSU-
integrated NIF are NOT installed in the device. This means that the GS4000 requires two
active power supply modules and two standby power supply modules. For detailed information
about installation positions of power supply modules, see the table below.

The GS4000 power supply redundancy is of the type "3 + 1" when one or more high port-
density PSU-integrated NIFs are installed in the device.. This means that GS4000 requires
three active power supply modules and one standby power supply module. For detailed
information about installation positions of power supply modules, see the table below.
