(3) Power supply modules quantity and installation positions

The number of power supply modules required for GS4000 switch devices is determined by
whether or not a high port-density PSU-integrated NIF will be installed in the device.

High port-density PSU-integrated NIF are NOT installed in the GS4000

The GS4000 power supply redundancy is of the type “1+1” when high port-density PSU-
integrated NIF are NOT installed in the device. This means that the GS4000 uses one power
supply module as the active module and one power supply module as the standby module. For
detailed information about installation positions of power supply modules, see the table below.
