4.1 REQUIRED

TOOLS

The only tools required to install and set up a GS4000 device are:

•

A #2 Phillips screwdriver: This is used to attach the GS4000 to a rack using M5 screws
or to attach a DC power cable to the power supply unit of GS4000-80E2, GS4000-
160E2 or GS4000-320E (DC).

•

A #3 Phillips screwdriver: This is used to attach the GS4000 to a rack using M6 screws
or to attach a DC power cable to the power supply unit of GS4000-160E2 or GS4000-
320E (DC).

•

A wrist strap to prevent static electricity

•

A hand lifter.

4.2

WARNINGS, CAUTIONS AND NOTES REGARDING SETUP

WARNING: WHEN INSTALLING THE GS4000 OR GS4000 ON A DESK, LAY IT DOWN

HORIZONTALLY IN IT’S NORMAL ORIENTATION. IF YOU STAND IT VERTICALLY

OR LEAN IT AGAINST A WALL, IT COULD FALL AND BE DAMAGED AND

POTENTIALLY CAUSE INJURY.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER OF A POWER FACILITY IS SET TO

OFF BEFORE ATTACHING OR REMOVING A DC POWER CABLE. ATTACHING OR

REMOVING A DC POWER CABLE WITH THE CIRCUIT BREAKER SET TO ON

WILL CAUSE AN ELECTRIC SHOCK.

WARNING: AFTER ATTACHING A POWER CABLE, ATTACH THE COVER TO THE TERMINAL

PLATE WHEN USING DC POWER SUPPLY. OTHERWISE ONE OF THE POWER

SUPPLY TERMINALS COULD SHORT OUT OR YOU COULD RECEIVE AN

ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
