Selecting the operating mode

In the default setting, the ports are set to

Automatic configuration

operating mode.

Note:

The active automatic configuration has priority over the manual configuration.

Perform the following steps:



Open the

Basic Settings > Port

dialog,

Configuration

tab.



If the device connected to this port requires a fixed setting, then perform the following

steps:



Deactivate the function. Unmark the checkbox in the

Automatic configuration

column.



In the

Manual configuration

column, enter the desired operating mode (transmission rate,

duplex mode).



To save the changes temporarily, click the button.

Change to the Privileged EXEC mode.

Change to the Configuration mode.
