The switch over to the primary port can exceed the maximum ring recovery time.

backup function is active. When the ring is closed, the ring manager reverts back

to the primary ring port.



unmarked

(default setting)

The

Ring port 2

backup function is inactive. When the ring is closed, the ring manager continues

to send data on the secondary ring port.
