5.6 Thread and undercut cycles
Menu item Meaning
The thread and undercut cycles machine
single or multi-start longitudinal and tapered
threads, as well as thread undercuts
In Teach-in mode you can
Repeat the last cut to compensate for tool inaccuracies
Use the Recut function to rework damaged threads (only in
Machine
mode)
Threads are cut with constant rotational speed
Feed rate override is not effective during cycle
execution
Refer to your machine manual.
The machine manufacturer specifies whether the tool
is retracted immediately after
NC stop or the thread is
completed.
