IRECTIVES
FAR Part 39 specifies that no person may operate a product to which
an airworthiness directive issued by the FAA applies, except in
accordance with the requirements of that airworthiness directive.
Since the Sportsman is an experimental airplane, no airworthiness
directives apply to the airframe. The builder/pilot must comply,
however, with any airworthiness directives that apply to certified
engines, engine-related accessories or propellers.
