To assure complete drainage of the old oil for an oil change, the engine
should be run until it reaches normal operating temperature prior to the
change.
We recommend keeping a record in the flight log of all oil added
between changes. This practice monitors changes in oil consumption
patterns that can serve as a warning of impending problems. An oil
analysis performed at every oil change is another valuable tool for
monitoring the engine’s condition.

ATTERY
If an unsealed battery is used, check the electrolyte level after each 25
hours of engine operation. Add distilled water if necessary. Do not fill
the battery cells above the bottoms of the split rings. If the battery is
filled when in a low state of charge, it will overflow when charged.
CAUTION
Excessive overcharging can cause heating and boiling.
