Connect the Nebulization Gas Supply
use the short, 4 mm (oD) gas tubing supplied to connect the gas outlet on the front panel to
the gas inlet fitting on the nebulizer.
Connect the Splitter Tubing
Since eLS detection is a destructive technique, the
PLC Purification System includes a splitter to divert a
fraction of the purification flow to the eLS detector while
the remainder flows to the uV-ViS detector, and then on
to the fraction collector.
use the supplied, 1/16” (oD) PeeK tubing to connect the
splitter outlet to the eLS detector nebulizer, taking care
not to kink the tubing.
1. Screw the 1/16” (oD) PeeK fitting of the nebulizer inlet
tubing to the black, 10-32 PeeK union on the splitter
tubing until it is fingertight.
2. unscrew the plug from the PeeK shut-off valve located
on the top-left side of the system.
3. Screw the other end of the splitter tubing with
PeeK fittings into the shut-off valve outlet until it is
fingertight.
