Rotor Speed
Select from the options:
High
Increased centrifugal force (approximately 500 G) helps to hold the samples in place.
Select

If using microtitre plates, very full tubes, solvents or mixtures that are prone
to bumping, or if at all unsure of the any of the above. High rotor speed is selected
automatically if
Dri-Pure
is selected (see
Pressure Control Regime
)
Low
Samples are subject to lower centrifugal force (approximately 350 G). This should be
used for applications that do not require high rotor speed.
Very Low
There are very few applications where
Very Low
speed is required. The option can be
used to prevent the compression of dried compound at the end of lyophilisation runs;
however such effects are negligible in most circumstances. The SampleGuard system
does not function when
Very Low
rotor speed is selected, therefore heat input from the
IR lamps is not possible.
