4.2.2 Maintenance

Commands

The GDL 90 Maintenance port allows access to the following functions:

•

Program/view GDL 90 APM settings

•

View GDL 90 system status

•

View the status of the GDL 90 external inputs

•

View status of GPS/WAAS receiver

•

View version numbers

•

View the data provided to the GDL 90 through its interfaces

Available commands are summarized in Table 4-1. Commands are not case-sensitive (some characters in
commands described in this section are capitalized to improve readability). Within a command, fields
and parameters (indicated by <p>) are separated by spaces.

4.2.2.1 Help

This command displays a list of available commands and their brief descriptions.

4.2.2.2 Alt

Command

This command shows the source of the altitude data, and the current altitude value. This command may
be used to display the altitude being provided to the GDL 90, as part of a FAR 91.411 24-month check.

For a continuous display, use the “

alt

” command without any parameters. Use “

alt once

” to display the

altitude data once, and use “

alt off

” to turn off the altitude display.

Example: Altitude via GSL 71 control panel on RxD Port 7.
