VFD System Pumps 1
VFD System Pumps Sequence of Operations:
The VFD System Pumps are operated based on differential pressure or
differential temperature. The lead system pump will be enabled when the
outdoor air temperature is below a user defined outdoor air temperature setting
or anytime the system is enabled. The ModSync® will automatically rotate the
lead system pump based on a user defined number of run hours. The pump with
the fewest number of run hours will become lead. The ModSync® will control the
pump frequency reference signal to each of the System Pump VFDs. The 4-20mA
analog signal will be generated utilizing user defined Proportional/Integral/
Derivative settings that compare the hydronic systems differential the configured
setpoint. The lead pump will run at all times until the outdoor air temperature is
above the user defined outdoor air temperature setting or the system is disabled.
